in brief...
A more thorough update to follow, but for now, chew on this:

if the lesson of two weeks past was "Don't try to stop a lance with your face," that of this weekend past was "Don't get run over by a horse."
I feel: soreOOWWWWW!!!!!

I am, thanks. Yeah, I'll be limping for several days, but it is deep muscle bruising only.

Still hurts, and I feel like a big ol' baby.

Details in the forthcoming "Tales of the Weekend the Fifth!" I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat.

HUZZAH to you i say! you are a bright light in an otherwise dim world. and i second the "so hope you're ok" comment i'm wishing you a speedy and pain free recovery from all injuries.

Thanks! Yeah, adrenaline and the whole "The show must go on and I have no understudy" does wonders!

...Knock it off! I haven't even been able to watch the joust and I keep hearing about you...I'm gonna have a heart attack soon!

But I'm glad you are ok and able to continue with the day.

Oh and I think (if one of the other CPs didn't mention it yet) You and McK missed my...ahem...story behind my garb. I was dressed as the dark lady and I had with me a chicken on a raft. The story went that the true connection between the two songs was that the chicken's name was Carlotta :)

The others got a kick out of it :)

heh. Yeah. I figure I'm getting four year's worth of joust ouchies out of the way in a few short weeks. I'll be good for the next four after this.

I did hear about that. Brilliant, my dear!

ow, again.
Back when I was on the college riding team, one of my teammates told me her riding instructor said she shouldn't worry about being trampled if she fell off.

The instructor said horses don't like to step on soft, squishy things...

I'm going to try to make it up this Saturday so hopefully I'll see everyone then. :) *files request for good weather*

Icey hot
I told you all ready, ICEY HOT!
I've never tried to stop a lance with my face.. Nor have I ever tried to stop a lance at all.. So, I don't know what to tell ya, I allready told you my story of almost being run over, and then getting thrown into rocks by a greenie..
