WHY is this particular review proving so difficult to write? Aside from the usual "see Kelly second guess every sentence she strings together," that is.

So I'm hiding online. I'm doing laundry. I'm cleaning up truly frustrating amounts of kitty vomit, strewn about the house in the most ridiculous places.* I'm looking forward to a day when writing reviews isn't so distressing.

Right, then. Back to the Word document.

ETA: strangely enough, this essay on the writing process of the very book I'm reviewing just popped up on my radar.

*I get it HT. Dinner did not agree with you. For the love of Bast, stay in one place until you've expelled all that you can. Don't trot around the house seeking out shoes and briefcases and direct mail samples that my sweetie is, presumably, keeping for a reason.

That was a fabulous essay....

... and now I should go back to trying to tie up my story in a neat little bow in under 1500 words.

Bwahahahahhahaahahahahahha.

Right. Back to work.

Agreed. And, strangely, it's been my approach to writing the review (dumping stuff into bins, sorting it out later).

Good luck! I'm pulling for you... and look forward to reading it. :)
