My hair has grown too long and unwieldy, and my natural wavy-curl is being pulled down. I hate to go to the hair salon when my scalp is this bad (psoriasis-wise). I don't have the time or the money to drive up to MA with Kelley to have Jimmy do our hair, alas. He is an Aveda colour specialist, and he always makes my hair look gee-orgeous.

So... I cut my own hair. Yup, just now, with halfway-dull scissors, I did it. In two long layers, no less. This may be marginally more impressive in light of the fact that just cutting my own bangs has always been traumatic for me. I trim, adjust, trim a little more, notice that the left side (always!) is just a bit longer... inevitably, I give up before I reach scalp-level and just live with the fact that they'll never be even.

You know what? My homemade haircut is not half bad. The curl pretty much disguises any minor length discrepancies. Split ends are gone, hair is bouncy and shiny.

Woohoo. Oh, yes. Woo. Hoo.
I feel: pleasedpleased
I hear: *snippety snip*

It's not a terribly impressive haircut as far as 'styles' go... but I'm still most pleased.

I'll try to get hubby to take some digital pics that I can post. Of course, that means I'll have to figure out how to post pics here. ulp!
