That gripping narrative tells it all, really, but it is a puzzling thing. What strange chemical changes are brewing in my body? What brain-switch has been flipped? I’ve been making fish tacos about once a month. Last time, in a fit of madness, I popped a few slices of avocado (which are always on the side since Don likes them, even if I do not. or rather, did not). I was not repulsed, but neither did I go into raptures.
This Saturday past we had rehearsal at our place. Since I am incapable of placing food in front of expected guests, I made a few appetizers. For some odd reason, I was compelled to make guacamole. Let me tell you, my friends, it was delicious. Now I can’t stop thinking about avocados. I had fresh guacamole for lunch. I’m thinking of fish tacos or a salad with avocado ranch dressing for dinner. It’s madness, I tell you! I can’t stop!
