Zinda's eye is aggressively worse. Dr. AwesomeVet consulted a kitty opthamologist. Here's the bad news: the great, GREAT majority of the time, anterior uveitis is indicative of something systemic. Zee is getting a comprehensive course of blood work, including tests for Feleuk, Feline AIDS and FIP, toxoplasmosis and something else that I forgot but sounded sort of like Barbarella.* There's also a chance there could be a tumor behind the eye, but there are so many infiltrates clouding the eye right now Dr. AV can't see behind the lens.

We've a new course of treatment, but if it doesn't work she has to see the specialist. I gave the poor kitty her first dose of atropine (which makes her salivate in an icky, foamy and persistent way. she hates it a lot). Later, I start her on the first of her twice-daily doses of doxycycline (liquid, orally administered). We've changed her other drops to pred acetate.

If any of you have kind thoughts or healing prayers to spare, would you mind sending them to my kitty? It's completely selfish of me, but I really need her to be okay. This is my bottle-reared baby. Thanks, all.

*It's Bartonella. Google, you have my thanks.

You get all my kitty concern and love and well wishes. Snuggle poor little Zinda for me - our cats got a mouth foamy pill at one time and they were quite displeased by it.

May the protection and blessings of St Beulah be with Zinda, you, your fella, and the rest of the kittehs.

Zinda's a tough wee pirate. She'll pull through just fine.

Love and hugs (and big pink drinks)!

Poor kitty!! sending lots of healing wishes her way.

And by the way, you are not selfish at all!!! just a caring and concerned pet mom. I know that when anything is wrong with Dakota I am a total wreck, so I really understand where you are coming from.

Big huge *hugs* to you

The zoo sends lots and lots of purrs...especially Tigger, who wasn't supposed to live to be five, but will soon be eleven. (Tigger purrs are really powerful!)

I'm sending out healing mojo.....And a prayer or two. That should cover all the bases.

Sending love and hugs.

My thoughts and prayers are being thrown out to the 'verse as well. I'd be prone to random bouts of weeping as well!

*sends healthy kitty vibes*

I hope it's not something systemic....or if it is, it's an easily curable (or treatable) problem.

How could wishing for thoughts and prayers for one you love be selfish? It takes only a moment to send a burst of wamrth from a kind thought, and all that energy is bound to make some kind of difference. I do hope she takes the treatment well.
