So. I was over at Television Without Pity reading the rather brilliant Jacob's recap of Doctor Who, Season Four, and lo! this gem:

"It's not a joke. Your only duty in this lifetime is to be magnificent. Or, as John Green (possibly the most charming man in the world but definitely the best YA writer) would say: "Don't Forget To Be Awesome." That's not God's problem. And it's certainly not the Doctor's. Any second you let go by without being awesome is a second you've wasted, and you can't ever get it back."

I feel: bouncybouncy

You're not a Doctor Who person, are you? If not, we really must set you up. If so, Jacob brilliantly recapped the entirety of Season 1 & 2 at TWoP. Funny, snarky, insightful - beautiful writing, all 'round. With lots of geektastic references from comic books to poetry.

TWoP decided not to continue the recaps for S3, but there was such a hue and cry they decided to let Jacob recap it all at once. Looks as if they've done the same for S4, much to my *squee!*

...aaaaand that was long and rambling but yes: PWN3D! I wonder if John knows about that? Probably, right?

Ugh! It's terrible! I have ALL FOUR SEASONS of Dr. Who on my laptop RIGHT NOW.

But my macbook won't play .avi files. And that's what they are.

So it just sits there. Taunting me. I could be all in-the-know. But no.

That makes my heart hurt.

Can you download software to play .avi files? I recall having a similar problem, and having to get... was it Divx? Or VLC? I can ask my husband, if you're interested. Whatever I got, it was free and it did the trick.

And when you DO have the werewithal, I expect reports. Especially for certain episodes. Just sayin'.

I'm sure I can download something, but I just don't know what. If Don knows what I need, that'd be made of excellence. :D Because I'm getting tired of being the only lame person in the world who doesn't know Dr. Who.
