I'm a bad kickboxing instructor. Wait... let me rephrase that: I'm a bad employee of ClubKO. When I found out Don was working late tonight, I threw on a sports bra and sweats and raced to the gym. I got there at 6:15 on the dot only to find every bag was full. Philip was teaching. "Just double up," he said. Here's where the bad employee-ness reared its ugly head. "Nah," I said. "I'll just go hit the bag at home." I should have sucked it up, supported the notion that it's no big when you have to double up on the bags. And it's not. I just didn't want to be crammed in with everyone else tonight. I'm a cranky Kelly.

I went to the grocery store instead, then came home and played with the kitties and did a load of laundry and cooked a few things for the week ahead: I hard boiled a dozen eggs, made a crab, asparagus and swiss quiche with a whole wheat crust, and threw together a sweet Italian sausage spaghetti sauce (don't get too excited about this last; I used store-bought sauce as a base).

I did not work out, though I had fully intended to do so. I'll go to the 6:15 class tomorrow instead. It's nearly nine o'clock. I think I'm going to have a glass of wine and watch 'Stormbreaker' while waiting for the laundry to dry. Oooh, baby. I lead a life of excitement and intrigue.
I feel: discontentdiscouraged
I hear: 'The Stowaway'

If you ever want to do a road trip to take a class, the first one's free. Well, ten bucks for gloves, but then you get to keep them. (or if our hands are of a like size, I'll loan you a pair of mine).

And if you love it, I'm sure there's a branch of the gym closer to you.

The main thing is that it would be lovely to see you, and lovely to have you in a class so that I could totally kick your butt! :D

We shall see! I've not done this combo before, but quiche is so very very adaptable. Back when I was Atkins/South Beaching, I would've made this crustless. I do love the whole wheat crust, though. It's served me well.

Oh, and if you want the 'recipe,' I'd be happy to share!
