I wish I could have a dozen kitties. Maybe not a dozen, truth be told; I just wouldn't have the time or the resources to care for that many (not to mention I live in a wee house). So - not a dozen. Four, mayhap. I wish I could have four kitties.

A while back I told you about the spate of one-eyed kitties at my local PetSmart. I mentioned a lovely little tortoiseshell kitten with a damaged eye who was still there when next I visited.

Well, she's there still. Her sibs have all been adopted, and she's on her own. She's grown out of 'teensy kitten' and into 'rangy teenager' which makes me worry for her chances at being adopted. When I stopped to say hello, she flung herself at the glass and meowed and was generally heartbreakingly adorable.

If a friend who happened to live in the area adopted this kitty, and then mysteriously found out she couldn't care for it, I really don't see what option you'd have but to take it in. I mean, really.

I wish I could take her! I would if I could! Actually, I would have taken her long ago, when she was still a kitty.

I really, really want a kitty.

well, why can't you have four kitties?

We have a teeny house, for one. Also, my husband and I decided that three would be our limit. With our schedules and budget and space issues, more than that wouldn't be fair to us or to any other pets.

hm. okay, valid reasons. but, ack, doesn't stop the wanting, does it?

&hearts right back. :)

Um... teeny?

I would KILL for the mass amounts of space you have!

Not that that means you should have a fourth kitty if you and Don agreed on a max of 3. But you really need to come over to our place for dinner some time to put some perspective on the "teeny house" thing. ;)

Oh, what's one more? You have a big house, a giant yard, and a heart bigger than Texas. That's all you need for a four-kitty household, really.
Kel: huminah-Guyladyjoust on December 8th, 2007 05:18 am (UTC)
Only she'd be an indoor kitty, so the yard doesn't count. But I would love her heaps. I think I need to aggressively find her a home. That's what.

Saaay... you aren't looking for an adorable, rangy and ridiculously sweet kitty, are you? :P

No, dear. Actually, we've talked alot about getting another kitten because Aragorn hates being alone (he cries and cries as soon as we leave the house every morning. It's heartbreaking). But as it is this apartment can barely hold the two of us and Aragorn and all my gigantic instruments. When we finally move into a bigger place we'll reconsider. Sorry one-eyed kitty!

I wish I could....
I want to have another cat in the worst way. But I just can't right now. We're in the middle of having some work done in the house and I just can't imagine having a little one in the house while my mother is coping with workmen in the house.

:( I want her.
