The BBC's Robin Hood is good, if a bit silly, fun. I rather like most of the actors (and rather adore Richard Armitage). The fights aren't terrible; some of them are good. But good gracious, the costuming is flat out painful to behold.

On a happier note, the most delightful pirate from 'Stardust' is in the season's second episode. I adore this guy.

ETA: Okay. Hood's all right. I like his speaking voice, and he does a few nice things, actorly, but really? too young and brash and modern, all told. Marian and Guy are the best things in this series, and their chemistry is far more compelling than that of Marian and Hood. The Sheriff has his moments, too - overall, I like what he's doing. And Scarlet is adorable, even if he has precious little to do. I HATE how Much, who reminds me greatly of Alan Tudyk, is relegated to Servant Boy, and the Band gleefully makes fun of him for it. The hell?
I feel: annoyed*eyeroll*

Is the second season airing here yet? (I got all excited when I saw a promo for it in London, and came home to not see it listed in TV Guide.)

Not quite yet.

Then again, even when it is airing here, I don't get to see it 'cause my cable provider doesn't carry BBC America. grawr.

I'd be happy to tape it for you if it ever comes back.
