How on earth did it take me so long to finally watch North and South?

The primary reason I put it on my Netflix queue was the fact that it stars the droolsome Richard Armitage, who's playing Gisbourne in the new BBC Robin Hood. (sorry, Hood... I'd totally ditch you for Guy. guh!)

Back to North and South: I've not read the book, and I'd no idea what it was about. It's fairly dark, but beautifully done. Nice script, some lovely cinematography, and the cast is fantastic. Of course, I spent most of the first two hours trying to place actors who were frustratingly familiar. From Doctor Who-dom: Suki, Milo and Lynda-with-a-'y' were all in the cast (and the latter, an actress named Jo Joyner, is flat out brilliant. Even when she's in the background, I can not take my eyes off of her. Love her choices, and she's funny as all get out.)

I want disc 2 now, please. Don't want to wait for Netflix to get it here in the usual time. In the meanwhile, I'll be visiting book icons to scrounge up some Thornton pretties.
