I don't know why I do this to myself. Despite being seriously freaked out by 'Blink,' the latest episode of Doctor Who, I chose to upload this new icon.

And I'm thinking of watching the ep again.

Curse you, Steven Moffat!

I feel: scareddeliciously scared

Scariest. episode. ever.

Word.

I am so glad I watched in during the day. On the downside, I was home by myself when I did so. yeep!

Oh god. I don't want to think about what would have happened if I'd not had a bad day and I'd waited to watch this at night. *shudder*

I finished it at 3am. I went to sleep with the lamp on.

I am seriously expecting nightmares tonight.

That's because it was amazing.

Oh, but it was fabulous. Such a lot of smart, layered concepts woven together with such an economy of language.

(Also? Scary as heck. I am a tremendous baby.)

It was fabulous. Steven Moffat is approaching Joss-levels as far as my adoration goes.

re: economy of language: I love how he can build complete characters and their relationships to one another in a few spare lines. Lovely! Credit for that also goes to the director. She seriously kicked some DW ass.

(did I mention I shrieked? and that I am fairly sure I'll have nightmares. yeep.)

Watched it from behind a pillow, up until I became overcome by fascination. Still, it wasn't as bad as Empty Child / Doctor Dances for me. I'm still too weak to ever rewatch those (not even to enjoy the introduction of Captain Jack).

That icon rocks.

See, as creeped out as I was by EC/TDD, I could feel it at some remove. It happened in WWII, after all. The creepy clockwork men? Pre-Revolutionary France. No worries.

This? This takes place in the here and now with things - statues - I see on a daily basis. I'm sort of panicking, which would be funny if it wasn't so darned pathetic. :/

And thanks! I so love that icon.
