Moya passed inspection. We're all legal for another year - unless, of course, I decide to run hooch or smuggle Chula weaponry. One must keep one's career options open, after all.

Fifty minutes on the treadmill today (no running thanks to stoopid knees; 'twas just hill walking), lots of water to drink and small portions (still) at mealtimes and I'm still not buff. What gives?

Oh, and I was totally spoiled for the current Runaways storyline thanks to the Civil War crossover with Young Avengers. Brian K. Vaughan, what the hell?????? Mind, I've only read the first arc and a half, but still... I liked that character. dammit.
I feel: workingefficient

This is the second time BKV's killed my favorite runaway, and the series hasn't even been going on for that long. I want him to stop doing that.

I've only read the first full arc and part of the next, but I'm enjoying it immensely.

I just met Brian K Vaughn recently,

you're the second person on my flist who has done so. San Diego, yes? The other spent the night with he and his wife and a few other folks drinking margaritas and genereally being cooler than I will ever be.

You know what? I need to find out how to break into writing for comics... just so I can go to all the Cons and meet cool people.

Speaking of Vaughan, by the bye, have you read 'Y- the Last man'? It's pretty heavy duty but absolutely brilliant and often very funny.

You're cooler than me; I don't have his signature!

I rather desperately want to write for DC; I know the characters a lot better than I do Marvel. I want Jade back; I want to write a book along the lines of Birds of Prey with Jade and Hawkgirl and... oh, I don't know... Zatanna. I still want to reinvision Madam Xanadu, too.

"Y" is absolutely amazing. And if you haven't read Bill Willingham's Fables, add that to your list, too. Sorry. I am such a book pusher, and that includes comics.

I hate to impose, Kel, but my shipment of hooch is late. Another day, and I'm gonna start breaking thumbs... just sayin'.

I just need twenty four hours. That's all, I swear. Bathtub gin doesn't grow on trees, you know.

he's not dead yet...if he were truly ever "alive".

errr.... are we referring to the YA/Runaways CW crossover?

Marvel has apenchant for killing off characters lately- so too wit DC- it's their weay of cleaning house...but the good thing is these guys don't stay dead
(supergirl...Donna Troy...)

they just whip out the ol' reverse timespace thingambob and lay the wamma jamma down.

seriously, you should get PAD's book on writing for comics. man's a jeenyus, and I know jeenyus when I seize it.

I got Runaways spoiled TOO!!!! Thanks to the message board, I tried to avoid potentionally dangerous discussions- but it slipped in. GRR. That's why I've started a subscription at Badmoo. I don't want to wait for my BKV anymore.

And cooler than you? Not me. You write and joust and live in fairyland. ;)
