serious Oracle

(no subject)

I'm not sure why I always expect instant, not to mention stunning, results when I exercise. Yes, I was very bad this week. I ate poorly and exercised not at all. I've gained another few pounds. I understand.

This afternoon I ran two miles and did a heap o'crunches. To my amazement, I weigh exactly what I did this morning! How can that be? Does the scale not realize I ran two miles? Does the scale not grasp the enormity of my renewed commitment to a clean, upstanding and healthy lifestyle?

::hrmpf:: I think I'll go eat a carrot-cupcake.

Ok, I won't. But I will go look at it longingly.
