I adore rain. In particular, I adore this kind of rain - wild and windblown and soaking.

That being said, enough is enough!

Honestly. My basement is all a-puddle. Understandable, since we have dampness issues at the best of times. Still makes for a cranky Kel.

Now I get to fret until Don gets home. The mountains were tricky when I drove over them a few hours ago, and that was in daylight. At least I could see the standing water, the rivulets sluicing across the road, downed limbs and the like. When he does get home, I'm going to hug him very hard and tell him I love him and how glad I am he's safe.

On the bright side, all this damp and gloom makes a simple roast chicken dinner seem that much more comforting. And, hopefully, delicious.

I am in total agreement with you!!!
I was stupid enough to say I was sick of the warm sunny weather, and wanted it to be cool and rainy, (and I meant it) but I wasn't anticipating this!!!

Mmmm...roast chicken! It always makes the house smell so good!

Totally agree with you and if I hear one more person say "well, we need the rain"......Grrrrr
