Poll #462943 Which to choose?

Given the choice, should I take:

tae kwan do

'Cause one can never be too kick-ass.

I want to answer a boring "Yes" to that. As in, one or other or both.

I'm so helpful. :)

Are you looking for self defense skills or exercise?

I'm inclined to say try both for a bit, but I'm leaning towards kickboxing (which I've personally never done). For exercise, I suspect kickboxing will probably give you a much better workout, and more exercise for arms and legs which will be used later in the year for riding, jousting and swordwork will probably be more beneficial for you.

Michelle Pfieffer kickboxed her way into her catwoman outfit after having her baby, and if that's not a testimonial for it's potential, I don't know what is.

a- kickboxing has become a fad. It's a good workout, but most places now do it a la tae bo- non- competitive. Don't really teach you how to take a hit ( you've had plenty of that kind of training already, lol)

b- tae kwan do- you learn better form, wear a cool uniform and can actually defend yourself, plus I think ( from my kung fu training days) that you develop better movement/motor memory.
TKD is pretty much tang soo do without all the really cool killer moves.

tae kwan do literally translates to "way of hands and feet"

(yes, that would be my martial artist alter-ego.)
