To everyone who posted good wishes and healthy vibes and all sorts of hugs and love:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can not tell you how wonderful it is to have that kind of support.

I went to CT today to see Dad. He doesn't look good. They still have him on oxygen, but although his heartbeat had been (sporadically) irregular, that seems to have settled down. His hand tremors are worse. His legs are seizing up in cramps, but that is likely because the excess fluid which has been building up there for, oh, two months has finally been removed. Yes, Dad has been feeling like complete crap, and has had a very difficult time walking - hell, standing! - for nigh on two months, but didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to upset everyone's Christmas.

Stubborn son of a...

He is very cranky. I know he was happy to see me, though, and just as happy - happier, more like! - to see Don. Dad just adores my husband.

After our visit, Don and I took Mom to a late lunch. She was able to relax and have a glass of wine and let someone else do the taking-care-of for a while.

Not sure how long Dad will be in the hospital. Not sure of anything. I'll let y'all know when I do.

Sounds like my dad, who's broken bones in the past and never said anything ... :P

And yes, stubborn son of a ... sums it up nicely.

It is truly miraculous what they now can do for people who have had heart attacks....
Faith and that deep stubborn streak will take him and all of you through a great deal...
I'm sending prayers for you through this ordeal.

*hugs* Glad to hear that he's better-ish. My dad had a heart attack two years ago, and I know it isn't easy.
