I went to CT today to see Dad. He doesn't look good. They still have him on oxygen, but although his heartbeat had been (sporadically) irregular, that seems to have settled down. His hand tremors are worse. His legs are seizing up in cramps, but that is likely because the excess fluid which has been building up there for, oh, two months has finally been removed. Yes, Dad has been feeling like complete crap, and has had a very difficult time walking - hell, standing! - for nigh on two months, but didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to upset everyone's Christmas.

He is very cranky. I know he was happy to see me, though, and just as happy - happier, more like! - to see Don. Dad just adores my husband.
After our visit, Don and I took Mom to a late lunch. She was able to relax and have a glass of wine and let someone else do the taking-care-of for a while.
Not sure how long Dad will be in the hospital. Not sure of anything. I'll let y'all know when I do.
