Amid my twisted and complicated and harrowing dreams last night, there was one in which I was a waitress at a lovely restaurant (not unlike the Iron Forge Inn). I was not Kel- of-the-present; I was not yet married. Finished with my shift, I went out to the deck to look at the stars and get some air. There I found a handsome and charismatic young man (played by Ewan McGregor, no less). Long story short, I knew him to be a womanizer. Charming as Ewan was, I refused when he asked me out.

Do you need to read that again?

I turned down Ewan McGregor.

::facepalm::

You do realize that's only the first scene in the movie, right? It'll all be fine. Persistence on his part, resistance on yours, he gets one or two dates before backsliding, you toss him out on his ear, he realizes that you are the only woman that matters now, he begs your forgiveness before being run over by an ice-cream truck.

Hmm. That last part didn't sound right. I knew I should have kept my box of Movie Clichés.

Even if it's only a dream...from where I stand, if he's asking you out because he's a womanizer and not for any other reason, it's disrespectful, so *good for you* for turning him down, you deserve more respect than that!
