Y'know what would be lovely?

NOT being broken.

How am I supposed to get back in fighting trim, to drop the extra weight, to hone my muscles, when my right shoulder is in darned near constant pain and my left shoulder is threatening to get in on that action? When my left foot - which, if it is sprained, is not as dire as I first thought - is prone to buckling should I step wrong? When my right wrist and left knee have decided to relive their glory days (read: jousting) complete with all the aches and pains and Rice Krispy crunchiness?

Yeesh. Sign me up for being fit and strong and resilient.

Can you take a yoga class or something while you heal up (and it would probably help with the healing) so you might feel less frustrated and sedentary for not being able to work out the way you want? If you have time/interest, I can meet with you and build you a yoga routine you can do at home to nice your body to counter your usual world of high impactery. Also, squish.

I'd love to hit you up for that, hon. I'll be glad to repay in the form of home cooking!

Yoga, or Tai Chi might be a good way to go.

Though I can't do it due to lack of flexibility, I've heard pilates is great. Maybe it can help you get back to punching stuff without pain. :)
Btw....haven't seen you in ages it seems....do you think it's time?
Kelladyjoust on July 31st, 2010 03:45 am (UTC)
Maybe it's my own lack of flexibility, but I've yet to find a Pilates course that sits well with me.

And BTW: it's high time. Let us make this happen!

I'm free most weekends in August and am taking the week after Labor Day off. Let me know what you're up to.

I'm away the last week in August, but otherwise we should be able to find several potential dates! Yay for Molly time!

Have they diagnosed the problem yet? Is it Bursitis or something along those lines?
Kel: Donna in the snowladyjoust on July 31st, 2010 03:46 am (UTC)
I've not been to a doctor since the problem arose with my left shoulder... that diagnosis was basically stress/over use. I need to give it time to rest and to heal.

I'm really bad at doing that.

Oh sister of the lance, I know EXACTLY what you mean.
Kel: girlfriends version shaz & alexladyjoust on July 31st, 2010 03:47 am (UTC)
I thought you might.

How are YOU, hon?

I'm doing pretty well. Busy. Crazy busy, but good. My body, like yours seems to be falling apart around me, but I'm hoping that actually getting a full night's sleep once in a while may work that out. lol.

In a sketch comedy group and our first show is tonight. Fencing is on hold through the summer, which is pretty awesome, but I do miss my little minions. Lol. Can't wait for school to start.

I think you're wonderful! I wish I could come visit and meet you in person!

I am sending you healing vibes, lady. Methinks you need them!
Kelladyjoust on July 31st, 2010 03:49 am (UTC)
Thank you! If I had a lick of sense, I'd be resting up and letting myself heal. Sadly, enthusiasm gets in the way.
