Day two of the G.C.W.L.C. In an astonishing turn of events, I've not miraculously dropped the weight, lost neither the belly roll nor the backfat, nor regained the ability to fit into my college jeans. Or rather, 'denims,' as we called them in those days. Ah, there was nothing like slipping on a pair of denims and a pair of penny loafers and heading over to the drive-in to share an egg cream with a velociraptor while a "DaVinci1502" water powered player piano tinkled its merry tunes.

Breakfast was a small chicken and swiss sandwich on rosemary focaccia with sprouts, peppers, red onion and tomato.

Lunch was this salad. I brought far too much, and while I couldn't finish it I was sorely tempted to cram it all in, because it was supremely yummy. Oh, and for the pasta, I used TJ's whole wheat and flax spaghetti. I live in fear of the day TJs discontinues that line. I should be stockpiling.

Dinner will be salad and white bean, ham and veggie soup. Throughout the day I had a couple of handfuls of mixed nuts (roasted almonds, cashews and peanuts) and a few chunks of cantaloupe.

Oh, and I had a MAD chocolate craving, so I cut half of a TJ's chocolate peanut granola bar in half and sloooooooowwwwly nibbled over the course of about half an hour.

So... better.

Knees are still fmeh. I really ought to man up and go to a doctor, already. And I will. Soon.

No. Really. I swear.

Oh you rebel. How DO you live with yourself.

When (not if) TJ's predatory buying puts your pastamaker out of business, as is their custom, fear not, I'll make you some whole wheat and flax spaghetti.

Careful with the knees, sister, don't do what I did to my shoulder!

I'm totally inspired by your yummy salad. I really should make giant salads at the beginning of the week and bring them to work for lunch. I'm so sick of the boring salad bar here at work, so I end up getting a fattening sandwich or burrito instead... maybe I'll follow your example and bring my own salads...
