It's Monday and I have not yet watched last week's 'Torchwood.' What goes on?

True, I have been a busy Kelly. Even now, I just sat down for a moment to check my emails and see if there was anything pressing and/or salacious on my usual internet haunts (NYRF, sheroes, LJ). Zinda ran across the room to jump up on my lap. I should be washing dishes or folding laundry or organizing the mounds of papers that have built up, but that would mean dislodging the crazy-eyed cat after she went through all that trouble to get here. Also, she so rarely wants snuggle time that I'm loathe to give it up so quickly.

The Great Curran Weight Loss Challenge begins today. Already, I failed: I had KFC for lunch. My resistance was down. A bad experience at IKEA siphoned most of my happy energy and, I suspect, a great deal of willpower along with it. See, this is why I don't have a power ring. To make up for my pathetic comfort eating, I spent the past few hours in the kitchen preparing healthy meals for the next few days. That way I have no excuse not to go to the gym (save for my knees, but I've got a two-fold approach to dealing with that: baby them whenever it is possible and ignore the soreness when it's not).

Right, then. Back to work. Crazy messy house awaits.

Cheers!

No, not failed. You took care of yourself and that is good. Preparing good meals to take along is good. Now think up comfort activities that don't involve lots of fat. And stop talking about failing.

I have no idea what 'October Road' is, but I've been saying that for a good long while. Mayhap they're copying ME!

Ikea meatballs always make bad situations much better.

Not failed....if I've learned one thing about losing weight...there will be days that are better than others, don't beat yourself up if you have an off day, or meal, or whatever, it's only one day....
